About the Book

The book Musings comprises of eight short stories and a novella. The first story narrates the harrowing experiences of an Indian housewife trying to break away from the shadows of her authoritarian and nagging spouse. The second story talks about a middle-aged painter’s musing, whose bewitching beauty inspires him to paint her life-size portrait. The third and the fourth stories recount the mischief and pranks of little girls driving their mothers into a tizzy with their escapade. The fifth and the eighth stories are packed with wisdom while the sixth and the seventh portray how young career women manage their personal and social affairs gracefully in modern India. About the Author

The author of this book Manjari Narayana is a post graduate in Psychology who takes keen interest in social work. She has been actively involved in the above field for the past 8 years. Her other interests include painting, travelling and surfing the internet. She is currently acquiring training in Hindustani Vocal Music and loves listening to both western and Indian music. Manjari Narayana currently lives with her husband and daughter in Lucknow, India.
