And one by one the nights between our separated cities are joined to the night that unites us. A blanket of thoughts rushed through him. His mind re-winded, the first day when they met. As he readied himself to make the funeral speech. Outside her window, the lights of the glass building charmed her. The brightness gave her a kind of happiness, something beyond this world. Amidst her view of this building and the window was a road that stood on the brink of being desolate to scarcely busy. Occasionally, a passerby would greet the path. And, soon the lights would go out and the traveller would depart the road en route to his destination. Having flirted with the noise for too long, did she marry the calm?

About the Author

With her works of poetry published in Central Board of Education Textbooks on Entrepreneurship, National Cadet Corps and Theatre Studies she managed to launch her first book of poems called 'Reflections' at The Jaipur Literature Festival, 2014. Her current book 'Sands of Time' has found a forum for launch yet again, at The Jaipur Literature Festival, 2015.
