About the Book
"All art is at once surface and symbol."
-Oscar Wilde
What does art symbolize? It stands for all that we have been, all that we are, and all that we are capable of being. It is the only true source of limitless power that we possess. We can wield it in infinite ways, with infinite consequences. Every brushstroke, every note, every syllable stands for an outstretched arm across the dome of absolute pragmatism that we live in. This collection of poetry charts a seventeen-year-old's journey as she attempts to do the same. A book with raw, staccato bursts of emotion, with each page connecting you to yet another side of yourself.
About the Author
Vrinda Sood, like many others of her age, is trying hard not to let studies get the best of her. Her innate need for expression comes to the fore through dancing, writing, and performing poetry. A student of Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj, she enjoys participating and organizing numerous events and can often be found running down the corridors from one activity to another. She has been writing since she was seven years old and has won several national and international accolades for the same, including a gold medal conferred by the Royal Commonwealth Society for its International Essay Competition. This is her first book, but she hopes to soon match the speed of her ideas with her pen and translate the stories within her onto paper.
