About the Book

Molecular biology for advanced learners – was designed for under graduate and post graduate medical, paramedical, nursing, pharmacy and other life sciences students. This book was mainly focused in explaining “central dogma of molecular biology” to students in simple language. Mile stones in the molecular biology were given point to point in the beginning of the book. First chapter starts with nucleic acid chemistry, followed by metabolism of purines and pyrimidines. In the next chapters’ simple and brief explanation of replication, transcription and translation were given. Recent technology in molecular biology like gene therapy, gene mapping, gene expression and PCR were given in the later chapters.


About the Author

Mr M. Prasad Naidu, is a post graduate in clinical biochemistry from Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. At present he is working as full time PhD research scholar in clinical biochemistry department of Narayana Medical College and Hospital, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India. He participated and presented research papers in clinical biochemistry at various national and international conferences. Mr Amar Nagesh Kumar is a postgraduate and PhD scholar in clinical biochemistry from Dr NTR University of Health Science, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. He is author of two books (Basic molecular biology techniques and an easy approach to practical biochemistry) and is available in the market. He also published several research and review articles on different biochemistry topics in various national and international journals. Dr S. V, Prasad, Ph.D., in biochemistry working at Department of Biology, STPM Govt. Institute Advanced Studies in Education, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India. Published scientific articles in various national and international journals. Participated and presented research papers in national and international conferences. Very good experience in teaching molecular biology and medical biochemistry.
