This collection assembles significant research papers on the concept of orality, theoretical approaches, and oral traditions juxtaposed with writing, culture, and folklore. Many of the essays also deal with issues of gender in oral cultures like those of Northeast India. About the Author

Zothanchhingi Khiangte is a faculty member in the Department of English at Bodoland University. She has published several papers on diverse areas of folklore and literature in books and research journals. She has edited a book titled Critical Inquiries to Contemporary Thoughts. She has also coauthored a book titled Wittgensteinian Philosophy of Religion. She has been invited to present her papers in several national and international seminars and conferences. She was also the editor of a literary journal, Transcript.
