About the Book

“Trumpets and Roars” has absorbing accounts of encounter with wild animals, conservation anecdotes, forest protection, forest restoration and animal behaviour mostly pertaining to the tropical forest and coasts of eastern India. There are accounts of both terrestrial and aquatic wildlife spanning over more than 5 decades.

About the Author

The Author is a retired forester and wildlife manager. He was chairman of WWF-India, State Committee and is Member, IUCN, Cat Specialist Group and Conservation Breeding Specialist Group. He headed state wildlife organization and presently member, Central Empowered Committee, Supreme Court of India and several other National Committees. He heads two conservation related voluntary organizations.
