Standing Naked in Front of You shares the narrative account and reflections of Syv Bruzeau while she was facing cancer and fibromyalgia. With humor and honesty, she recounts her journey of learning to listen to her body, the painful and multifaceted processes of being physically ill, the beginning of her recovery from cancer, and the depression that subsequently followed. Along the way, she shares her personal insights and tackles taboos about suicide, depression, and the myth of perfect health. About the Author

Syv Bruzeau is a Butoh dancer and a wanderer. For now she seems to have found a base in Hokkaido - the most northern part of Japan - where she dances, paints, soaks in hot springs, learns the art of handmade soba; and endlessly marvels at the beauties of Nature.
