About the Book

Golden Treasures simply augments Treasures From The Past, both autobiography or more accurately memoirs of Cheng Wely, eldest daughter of a Methodist pastor, Rev. Cheng Shen Chu and his wife, whose mission was to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This book takes the reader further into the intimate life of the author who shows how much pain and sorrow, suffering of war and poverty are only temporary. These form a small part of the journey that ultimately leads to an abundant life of joy and peace. Many recollections mentioned in the book represents the author’s thoughts and feelings. Happy memories always bring a smile to our faces, but nobody likes sad memories, which the author often interprets as blessings in disguise. As she shares her stories with the younger generation, she hopes to establish a link with the past that the present generation needs to learn from in order to create a better future!
