About the Author

Dr. Lai Mei Kei Vivien is a homeschooling expert and researcher with dual doctorates in Education and Business Administration. She successfully guided her daughter through the transition from homeschool to university. Her daughter, now 17, is in her third year at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (ranked 57th globally by QS), majoring in Physics and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Lai also assisted her 15-year-old student in achieving exceptional A-level grades in just 7 months, obtaining two A's and one A*, by using her personalized teaching methodology.

Dr. Lai developed a personalized homeschooling approach called GlobalHomeEdu for her daughter. This method combined worldschooling and homeschooling. Through worldschooling, they traveled to different countries to immerse her daughter in diverse cultures and real-world experiences. Academically, Dr. Lai implemented a structured and personalized curriculum to prepare her for IGCSE and International A-level examinations.

Dr Lai is the leader of the homeschool community in Hong Kong. She is committed to contributing her expertise and efforts to help the homeschool education in Hong Kong grow and flourish.
