About the Author

The Indigo Fairy and the Frogs is the first book of the Indigo Fairy and Friends series. The aim of these books is to teach the child about our fellow creatures in a fun way. My love affair with frogs started a long time ago when my aunt showed a tiny frog sitting on a blade of grass, it was so small and perfect. Since then my friends and family have gifted me frogs in many delightful forms. A friend had once said that I liked frogs so much because I was waiting for my Prince. I assure you I would have been horrified if a frog I liked enough to kiss turned into a man! You can imagine my delight when I met a man who had frogs living in his house, a toad in the kitchen, 2 tree frogs in the bathroom, many of them in his water tank! We are now married and live in Dahanu, Maharashtra, India with our son Kian, the Indigo Fairy in our adventures, our 5 dogs and 3 cats. I am a yoga teacher and massage therapist by profession, but now being a full time mother, being the author and artist for these lovely books has been a joyful creative journey. I would like to introduce Andree Francois, my dhamma Mother, my art teacher and my friend who has made the delightful frog on the cover of the book. I originally wanted only to write the books and have Andree do the paintings, but being a true teacher, she inspired me to do the rest of the paintings on my own. Doing the paintings has been so much fun, each one a little magical journey and it has made the books so much more special to me. I do hope you and your children enjoy the paintings, the thoughts and ideas projected in this book and the future ones in progress yet to come.
