God (Brahman) and indwelling Self are one and same truly;
Behind the psychophysical man - the Self, which divine be,
Ayam Atma Brahma-"Self is Brahman" - its essence surely.

Ocean not different from its waves, the waves as ocean be;
They are but one and the same - very similar in actuality,
So Brahman and Atma are one and the same in reality.

‘Guna ’ – satvik, rajsik, tamsik does be,
Karma defined by ‘guna’ undoubtedly,
Karma varies as per situation certainly,
Karma and Dharma accordingly do be.

The Dharma is not defined by action only,
Even if the action seems for good plainly,
If action is conceived with bad intent truly,
The resultant will but adharma certainly be.

If bhav of the act with wicked thought be,
Dharma or karma will adharma certainly be,
Dharma or karma in isolation of intent not be,
Dharma determined by intent of karma clearly,
- 1059 -
Dharma personified with good karma surely,
That karma and action with good intent only,
Whenever the karma and bhaav good be,
It results in achievement of Dharma clearly.

Karma action, reaction; Dharma path be,
And both strive to attain Moksha finally,
Moksha liberation, freedom from both be,
Serving Lord without any desire devotedly.
