About the Book

This book is the answer to the refrain "I wish my child would read books instead of watching TV all day." Mimi and Popo is an easy introductory sight reader with flashcards. Sight reading with flashcards is simple and rewarding. Your child does not need to know the alphabet or learn phonetic sounds. All you need to do is show the cards in recommended order and say the word aloud. 10 minutes a day, a few words a week and in no time your child will start enjoying books. Research has shown, that if you can read 25 words, you will be able to read approximately one-third of all printed material in English. 12 of these 25 words can be found in this book. Some children learn at a slower pace than others, so make sure you follow your child's pace. Play games with the flashcards, use them to make sentences, let your child have fun with the set of flashcards and discover the joy of reading his/her very first book.

About the Author

Rekha Eipe is on a mission to bring the Joy of Reading into the lives of children. She has encouraged hundreds of children to become independent readers since she started the Joy of Reading Program 15 years ago. Starting to read early, according to her, is the key to success.
