"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves," she quoted and winked at me. "Ah, pretty and smart. They don't make those anymore," I played along. "Yeah, well, I'm a limited edition," she smirked confidently. “Don’t be so conceited, darling,” I chuckled. “Isn’t that what you are too?” she snapped back. I folded my arms across my chest and took a deep breath, rolling my eyes, thinking and contemplating. And then I smiled to myself and Skye noticed it. She asked, crossing her eyebrows a bit, "Why are you smiling like a goof?" I shook my head a little, still smiling, and answered, "Just imagining as to how well you and I would hit it off." "I'm really not easy to handle," she admitted. "Neither am I," I confessed, and as I did, I took a step towards her and sort of missed my landing and landed on the ground instead. I fell flat on my face and it actually hurt, and considering my ankle was sprained, the fall just worsened it. Gargi gasped and ran up to me, asking if I was okay. As I struggled to get up, I happened to notice that Skye was giggling and laughing like anything! "Okay, so out of the fifty jokes that I tell her, this is when she laughs," I looked up at her, sitting on the ground. "Oh, come on, that was actually pretty funny!" Skye said, not even making an effort to control her laughter, shameless as she was. "Well," I coughed a bit, "what can you say now? I guess I'm falling for you," and I grinned at her. “Are you screwing with me?” Skye simply looked at me as she asked that question, rolled her eyes and got up from the bench as she reached both her hands out to me to help me get up. I smiled to myself and grabbed her hands as she pulled me up. “Well, I’m not screwing with you. Not yet,” I replied as I dusted the dirt off of my uniform and set my hair right, and that's when I heard Skye say, grabbing her bag from the bench, "You wanna go for a walk?" I looked at her, the ghost of a smile tugged at the corners of my lips, and I answered, beaming, "Of course." "That's some spirit from a football enthusiast," Skye mocked. "Well, some people are worth missing a football game for," and I winked at her and she blushed slightly and smiled at me, and the two of us walked away from the football field, even though my shin was hurting slightly but it was okay.

It’s about how I get into trouble and always get away with it. It’s about how topsy-turvy a teen’s life can be. I messed up my math exam; I fought with my best friend over a trivial issue; I fell off my bike and the whole town knew; I kissed a guy and didn’t regret it. For the first time ever, something is about me. My name is Nikita Achanta, and this is my story.
About the Author
“You are so busy being you that you have no idea how utterly unprecedented you are,” John Green. A wise man once said, “The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion,” and that’s what Nikita believes in. The name’s Nikita Achanta, 17 and she studies at the Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer. Her interests range from reading novels and comics, especially Garfield, to listening to music, playing the guitar, video games, and writing. She writes a lot, from quotes to articles to poems. She has an undying love for dogs, resulting in her persuasion to adopt a dog when she was seven years old. And, call it fate, her parents gifted her a Golden Retriever for her 17th birthday [The 6th of October], and life has been happier ever since.
