There was a farmer’s house close by. There were also trees like the Michaela and Rhododendron that bore flowers on their branches! The fir tree, like the little star was also very unhappy. This was because unlike the other trees there in that meadow, this little fir tree, like all trees of its kind wouldn’t ever bear any kind of fruit or flower! Even during spring and summer, this lonely little fir tree never bore any fruits or flowers. Understanding the cause for its unhappiness, the Little Star known to us as “Little Brother” gave to this little fir tree all his jewels and all of his other decorations too. Having decorated this little tree, the Little Star then jumped up and sat on the crown of this little fir-tree knowing that a soft bright light would glow all around. “Little Star” thought that this would make the little fir-tree feel happy and he was right! The little fir-tree started to laugh joyfully! In fact he felt grand as no other tree had a star shining down from its crown! He felt majestic! “Little Brother” also started laughing! Laughter is infectious! There was a lot of laughing and so, soon enough all the trees in the snow covered meadow joined in the fun!

About the Book
Once upon a time five proud sisters and their brother lived together. The sisters didn’t play with their little brother. So he ran away hoping to make friends and meet little children in a great big city. But he couldn’t find any. Feeling sorry, a passing cloud offered to be his friend. Cheering up at once, he jumped, reaching out to the cloud. The cloud carried him on its back. Blown away by a strong wind they soon reached the countryside. Sudden cold changed the cloud into tiny drifting snow-flakes. Feeling happy, he drifted down slowly with them as everything was soon covered under a thick blanket of snow. Down below in a farm cooperative, he found a lonely fir-tree in a pot placed near a large house owned by a rich farmer. A warm mellow light woke up fairies in the meadow and many other tiny creatures sleeping in the orchard. The light also woke up little Cindy, a child fast asleep in her bedroom, inside the farmer’s house. Thinking that an UFO had landed, she went out to investigate. Out in the meadow by the orchard that night Cindy made the most astonishing discovery ever. This event turned into a most unusual Christmas.
