Prof. Raamaa Chandra Mouli, a post graduate in mechanical engineering from Warangal, Telangana State, India is an eminent Telugu poet, short story writer, novelist and literary critic, Chandra Mouli has so far written more than 283 short stories, 26 novels , 9 anthologies of poetry and 4 anthologies of literary essays in Telugu. He has participated as Indian delegate in ‘22nd’ World Congress of Poets, Greece during July 2011. He is a recipient of several prestigious awards including a ‘Swarna Nandi’ Puraskaram from Govt of A.P (2011), Telugu University Kavitha Purskaram(2007), Cinare kavitha puraskaram(2008), Kolakaloori Bhaageeradhi kavitha puraskaram(2012), Dr.Avansta Somasunder Kavitha Puraskaram(2012), Citizen Extraordinaire Leadership Award for 2007-08 (United Writers Association, Chennai). Besides, he also won the Best Engineering Teacher Award-2000 from the combined Govt. of A.P. He authored 6 prestigious text books for mechanical engineering students. He has penned story and dialogues to 5 Telugu movies. Several of his works are translated into English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali. She is also on the panel of translators of SahityaAkademi. Affaire de Couer, Vignettes of the Sea, echo…The Night of Nectar-(translation) are some of her published anthologies. She is also anthologized in Heaven, Roots and Wings and Persona. An anthology of twenty Telugu short stories—Gender Game and other Stories, and a Telugu novel—The Dusk are her published translations. Her translations are also found in Indian Literature and Gold Nuggets. Her original poetry in English has been translated into Hindi, Spanish and French. Indira has also co-authored English text books for technical undergraduates. Presently, she is engaged in the compilation of two poetry anthologies, nomadic nights and just for once…and the translation of shirt fiction of a renowned story teller for SahityaAkademi, and an anthology of poems of a well-known Telugu poet.
