When I was a little boy, my dad, (a Presidential medal holder, Class one Police officer), often told me, “Son, prepare yourself well - because you have to face the world”; then I used to stare at my mom, the kindest lady I have ever known, who always told me, “My love, the key word is Balance, as long as you can maintain balance in life, you won't face much trouble”. Then I grew up and realised how crucially important it is to know ourselves more deeply. Since then, over the thirty seven years of my highly dedicated, task oriented & challenging profession of hard core marketing and training in India and abroad, I have experienced that the same basic concepts are still profoundly prevalent. In fact, I couldn't really find an escape route from those approaches whenever I achieved success. Here, in the following pages, after interacting with a number of eminent professionals and conducting a number of trainings and interviews, I have sincerely attempted to share my views & experiences about a topic, which is often thought about, frequently talked about but seldom read about; and the approach is based upon on the concepts narrated before. I fervently trust that, while going through them one may find known things, though perhaps not thought of this way.

About the Author
The author has had a versatile career spanning thirty-seven years, including positions in corporate marketing (retired regional profit center head, Degussa India Pvt. Ltd.), academia (ex-visiting professor, Indira Gandhi National Open University), and training institutes (ex-associate faculty, Nicco Ventures Ltd.). He has conducted numerous sessions across India on interviews, group discussions and various soft skills.
