Experimental Study on Heat Transfer in Porous Media

The research in fluid flow, heat energy exchange and heat & mass exchange in porous media has received increased attention in last decade due to significance application. This book on porous media is organized into eight chapters. Chapter 1 Introduce about the porous media, application of the porous media and theme of the present work. In Chapter 2, a review of literature in the different fields of the porous media is presented. The mathematical model for flow and heat transfer is presented in Chapter 3. The details of experimental set-up and repeatability are presented in the Chapter 4. In Chapter 5, the frequency response of steel water bed with 4.55 mm diameter steel balls is studied. In Chapter 6, the frequency response glass water bed with 6.5 mm diameter glass balls is studied. In Chapter 7 the steel water bed with 6.5 mm diameter steel ball is studied. A comparison of above energy storage effects and its physical aspects are presented in Chapter 7. In Chapter 8, Conclusion and future scope is discussed.
