About the Book

This is a book of letters, memories, and photographs for my husband’s, Ruben Kempeneer, fortieth birthday. He has lived a wonderful life thus far, not free from heartache or difficulties, but nonetheless one full of adventure and beauty. He has travelled extensively and has immersed himself in many different cultures and ways of life. He is always looking for the next challenge and new ways to push himself to the next level, no matter what he already has on his plate! He loves with all his heart, and in return, he is also dearly loved by his family and friends. We are blessed to have him in our lives!

About the Author

Marie Bloedorn has been a bit of a nomad her entire life, born to American and German parents, but grew up in the Philippines, Thailand, Africa, and Europe. Having never known much about what home means, she found it unexpectedly one evening in a dodgy London club called Strawberry Moons when she met the charming Ruben Kempeneer. Several years later, they now live in Singapore with their two-year-old son, Oscar.
