This book describes the scientific evidence for a newly developed ACTIVE SKELETONIZED SUTURAL DISTRACTOR APPLIANCE (ASSD). ASSD appliance where used successfully in a randomized clinical trial that proof its power to correct sever skeletal class III malocclusion. ASSD appliance can be consider a paradigm shift in the treatment of class III malocclusion as it can replace conventional surgical distractor. ASSD can provide adolescent Class III patients with a rapid and comfortable treatment option. It is hoped that this clinically effective, noninvasive and inexpensive treatment will have a significant improvement in the quality of life of those type of patients.

Dr. Wael Bayomy is orthodontist he has BDS,MDS,BOARD ORTHO, PhD ORTHO. He has over than 20 years of experience as a dentist as well as an orthodontist. He also has academic experience as an orthodontic university lecturer. He has a lot of publications specially in the filed of growth modification and correction of skeletal malocclusion as well as mini-implant anchorage and its usage in skeletal correction of malocclusion.
