About the Book

Alice Chudes comes from a family steeped in literature, her grandfather having been a literary critic and a writer, and her great-grandfather having been a famous poet. She started writing poetry in Russian in the 1980s and has been writing ever since. This book is a collection of the past twenty-five years of her poetry in English and French, with her own literary translations into English. REVIEWS “Alice Chudes’ verses are romantic, sensual, passionate, romanticised, and positive. Many readers will find her poetry easy to relate to. With her collection of poems, Alice Chudes, like the Phoenix, ensures we will hear what she has to say.” — Vladimir Guevarra, Writer

About the Author

Alice started writing poetry in 1980s and has been writing poetry ever since. This book is a collection of the past 25 years of her poetry in English and French. She also comes from a family in literature with her grandfather being a literary critic and a writer. Alice Chudes is a dreamer. She lives to love and loves to live. She likes to explore the invisible and discover the hidden truth behind the mask. Alice prefers to take the roads less travelled, which sometimes exist solely in her imagination. She believes that one needs to disconnect from reality in order to reconnect with it in unexpected ways. Alice believes in the Divine. It is this faith that makes miracles come true for her. No matter how lost she has been, she has managed to rebound from all the setbacks in her life like the Phoenix who rose from the ashes. So, Alice hopes that her saga will help others to find the right way. It is not the way to happiness as an end goal but it is the odyssey that makes one happy. Alice dreams that more people are able to finally open their eyes and see, see and create a better future for all.
