dear human, life is short

Came a long way. From bottom up. Worked hard. Going beyond limits. Through the spikes, the lush forests, the inhabitants, the journey. To get to a place where we once dreamt of dearly. A place where we looked up to, a place where, we thought we would never reach. Only to watch it crash and burn, to ashes, scattered, beyond repair. A Gordian knot. For diverse reasons. Breakups... laid off... gambling loss. Beyond our control. Inexorable. It is gone, vanished. Lost. Stuck. Unsure of, what should we do now? Our next move? It felt as though everything was lost – our very soul, our very spirit. Time became still. Nightmare, became a reality. Nadir. Waves of emotions came flooding into our, for some, delicate hearts. Opprobrium, regret, anxiety, fear, worthlessness, low self- esteem, and for some extreme cases, suicidal thoughts and their antecedents. Presentiments from apperceptions may haunt us, may disturb our peace of mind, our appetite, our gumption to carry on with our lives, with the next day. We ruminate. We dwell on the past, having picturesque images of scenarios, of, what could have gone better, of how we could have saved ourselves back then, had we avoided some of our actions. I glanced outside the bus window. The only observation I took notice of was that life goes on. People strolling to work, with bulky backpacks in formal, or casual wear. Others, waiting for the traffic light to turn in their favour. Emerald and russet leaves on the foliose, dancing gracefully, as they obeyed the nature of the wind.
